Pro-ISIS Marine Veteran Arrested By FBI For Threatening Terror Attack

Posted by Joshua Raymond-Castro on

Clark Calloway, a 38-year-old U.S. Marine veteran was arrested in Washington D.C. by the FBI on Thursday when he attempted to purchase an AK-47 from an FBI informant. He is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and transportation of said firearm with the intention to commit a crime.

Calloway became the subject of an FBI investigation in June of 2016 when he began to post an increasing number of Islamic State propaganda on his social media accounts, including images of terrorists and the highly recognized ISIS black flag. He also ‘friended’ hundreds of known ISIS fighters on Facebook and joined a slew of pro-Islamic state pages. The FBI also noted that he had two active Facebook accounts, one in which he showcased his extremely pro-ISIS side, and another which showcased his exceedingly racist views.

After purchasing the AK-47 from the informant, he mad multiple threats on his social media where he indicated that his plan was to murder white and Jewish people, preferably at police stations around the country.

“Soon the great killing will commence,” Calloway tweeted on April 20.
“MaashaALLAH! ISIS has shot a French policeman to death, in Paris, France!” he tweeted on the same day. “This is war!”
“Soon,” he tweeted on May 1. “Oh Muslim Ummah. Soon Melaniated Jewelry of ALLAH. Soon, the white devils will be exterminated like they were during the holocaust.”

Calloway has denied the allegations that he intended to orchestrate a terrorist attack, claiming that it was simply online propaganda. He appeared in court last Friday and is being held until he attends a preliminary hearing next week.
