Federal authorities have arrived at the scene of a Kentucky plane crash that a 7-year-old girl survived after it killed four members of her family.
Kentucky State Police Sgt. Dean Patterson says Federal Aviation Administration officials have arrived, and investigators with the National Transportation Safety board also were expected to get to the scene on Saturday.
About a half hour later, a Lyon County resident called 911 and told dispatchers that a 7-year-old girl had walked to his home and said she had been involved in a plane crash.
Larry Wilkins was watching the local news at his Buckberry Trail home when he said he heard a knock. "The little girl come to my door," Wilkins told NBC News in a telephone interview late Friday.
Marty Gutzler and Kimberly Gutzler their daughter, 9-year-old Piper Gutzler; and Sierra Walder Piper's cousin were killed in the crash, according to Kentucky State Police.
